Jeremy’s Consumers Corner

I came across Jeremy's Hobbs blog where he stated,

"My reviews are generally positive, simply because I don't enjoy trashing products that I know someone put their efforts into (I'd rather just not review them".

I am inclined to "trashing" products because it helps build a consensus on the product, we all have different opinions (freedom of speech) , so people like Jeremy confuse the fact that a blog is an extension of ones ability to communicate with like minded individuals in the world.

Social networking has allowed us to form friendships with fellow "trashing" individuals from around the world. We have something in common and our personalities allow us to review products on a mass scale.

Do I like hurting someone feelings?

I value someone who has put effort into helping an old lady cross the road than a group of beverage executives effort, in formulating a beverage.

One must remember beverage companies work on a marketing strategy, with marketing ploys and their motivation is the mighty dollar, anyone seen a non-profit beverage company lately?

Coolah Energy Drink firstly uses a symbolic icon that belongs to the indigenous peoples of Australia and secondly it markets itself as an Australian product with an Australian identity ( marketing strategy and marketing ploy).

The real energy from Down Under is the peoples of Australia, not this trashy so called energy drink, most Australians speak what is on their mind, we are direct and we question authority without fail.

This is why I posted at bevnet's forum and took a shot at the Coolah Energy Drink. Since Jeremy's Hobbs is also a member he decided to counter my opinions with his "gay" post.

So the next time you see an old lady cross the road, think positive and enjoy the fact that what motivates you to get her to the other side of the road safely is far superior to the rewards found in an executive board room who brainstorm to convince you to swallow.

1.

The can says that Coolah is actually a village in Australia where they drink something called "Solo" which was the inspiration for their energy drink. Nice marketing story.

2.

Proclaiming to be from Australia (note the boomerang and a brief explanation of the Austrailan village of Coolah), this was the first lemon flavored energy drink I've seen. It's loaded with sugar. It was pretty good, kind of like lemon meringue pie without the crust or whipped cream.
