“The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) pledged on June 5th to lead its global beverage operations, including those of its franchise bottlers, to replace the water it uses in its beverages and their production. The Company will focus its actions in three core areas:
1) reducing the water used to produce its beverages.
2) recycling water used for beverage manufacturing processes.
3) replenishing water in communities and nature.

Ohhhhhhhh yeah mate, today has been a G’day, I received Australia’s first and only organic ginger beer ( hand crafted and brewed in the bottle ). I am going to review it soon but I had one bottle in celebration, I am truly proud to be an Australian, the Eureka spirit lives in this bottle.

Australians will support Australian made and owned products, as long as you bring it to the front door for sale. Dick Smith and others have been trying to slam the message that we should be buying less foreign owned and made products. Hence his efforts of establishing Dick Smith Foods, Australian made and owned products for supermarket shelves. Whilst Dick battles the supermarket ends, one Aussie company has taken an old approach and revived it to get Australians to buy Australian Owned and made.

So what does one do with 118 tons of Evian mineral water, that has excessive amounts of bacteria? Well, Group Danone the owners of Evian decided to send it back to the homeland for consumption.
I wonder if this was an isolated incident or is Evian mineral water treated in varying degrees for pathogens before being sent to a particular export market?
This scenario is particular unsettling for consumers, if your countries authorities have low bacterial standards for bottled water, companies will bottle to these standards.
